Private Tours in Porto and the Douro

Portugal as a country was ‘born’ in the North.
It was in the Porto Region and across the North of Portugal that the Portuguese began as a people & a nation.
The city of Porto is now designated as a world heritage site by UNESCO. In 2013, 2014 and 2017 the city of ‘Porto’   won ‘Best European Destination’

Our various walking tours always offer the option of lunch in a traditional Portuguese restaurant by the waterfront where you can sit and watch the world go by.

In the heart of Porto’s historic center, you can visit a number of the city’s iconic sites such as;

  • Clérigos Tower
  • Lello Library (Harry Potter Influence)
  •  Avenida Aliados and Square
  • The ‘Vintage’ Magestic Café

Our walking tours provide an opportunity to descend through the medieval streets into the ‘Ribeira’ district. There you can explore it’s many vibrant cafes and terraces. The iconic metal arch bridge, called the Dom Luis I bridge, cross the river Douro in the district of ‘Vila Nova de Gaia where you will find all the famous brands of World Heritage Classified Port Wine and its Cellars.
